Originally from Bolivia. I grew up and took my first steps as a birder from a very young age in my rural town, Independencia at Cochabamba, Bolivia. I moved to the city of Cochabamba to study biology and later specialize in ornithology. My passion has led me to leave my country and attend to international neotropical ornithology courses held in Peru and Colombia. As a professional, I worked in the field on bird study projects in Bolivia, southeast of the United States, Ecuador and Colombia. I’m residing in Ecuador since 2008, and I was teaching about wild birds on environmental education project to children from Ecuador’s rural areas. Later, I obtained my master’s degree in Biodiversity Conservation in Tropical Areas in Quito in 2011. I started in nature guiding thanks to the generous opening of Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve & Lodge, then I worked for Jocotoco Foundation in Ecuador for some years involved in bird conservation projects as well. Since 2014 I’m dedicated to guiding freelance with Macaw Birding, Bellavista Cloud Forest and Jocotours S.A. mainly, Sunrise Birding and PIB (Partnership for International Birding) recently.
